Where’s the only appropriate place to hold an aquatically themed music festival? The Atlanta Motor Speedway, obviously! This past weekend, Imagine Music Festival brought the lost city of Imaginarium to Atlanta with a dubstep-heavy lineup featuring heavy hitters like Datsik, Seven Lions, Deorro, and Flux Pavillion. Other EDM legends like Deadmau5, Tiësto, and Above & Beyond headlined, with live sets from Pretty Lights and prolific electronic jam band, STS9.
The Vibe Tribe headed down South to hang out and spread the good word of the best hydration packs for music festivals. Seriously, is there any better music festival to promote hydration packs than one that’s water-themed? We think not.
Imagine Music Festival: The Experience
Imagine Music Festival feels more like summer camp than a music festival. Sure, pretty much every major music festival has a ferris wheel, yoga, and cool art to check out, but Imagine goes much further.
The transformational workshops at Imagine cover everything from aerial yoga, to digeridoo meditation, to sacred mycology and the balance of the biosphere. For the more adventurous types, there were slacklining and fire sword workshops, as well as a Galactic Throat Singing activation workshop. We don’t know what that is either, but it sounds transformative. The aquarium theme kept everyone cool with a much needed splash pool and waterslide. Did we mention there were aquatic circus performers and acrobats everywhere? Because there were.
Imagine Music Festival: The Music
The Oceana stage hosted most of the dubstep, trance, and other EDM artists, while Pretty Lights Live, STS9, and some of the funkier acts held down the Amazonia stage.
First, let’s talk Deadmau5. He keeps busy playing his own shows, so seeing him at a festival is a semi-rare treat. He kept the crowd in a trance for over an hour, and of course, couldn’t help but troll the crowd with one of his patented ‘mic spamming’ monologues.
Pretty Lights closed out the Amazonia stage on Saturday night, and STS9 played a transcendental show on Sunday to finish off this weekend of beautiful bass-y music. Another stand out musical experience of the weekend were the silent ones. Every night, after all the main acts finished, the silent disco fired up so people had the opportunity to rave into the wee hours of the morning.
Music Festival Gear
In light of the recent debate regarding the use of totems at music festivals, there was a noticeable decrease in totems at Imagine. There was plenty of rave booty, aquatically beautiful outfits, Southern frat guys, and of course, holla-graphic hydration packs that perfectly matched the underwater vibe of the festival.
As we approach fall and the weather cools down, it’s easy to forget to stay hydrated. Having water on hand at all times is crucial, so why not express yourself while you stay hydrated? From Coachella Hippie, to EDC Trippy, we have a hydration pack to match everyone’s unique style.
Don’t forget to check out our hydration packs and rave accessories to support breast cancer research! We’ll see you at Imagine Music Festival 2018! Until then, Vibe Tribe out.
