@VibeWithAde here to tell you about how much fun I had at Imagine Festival 2019! All the sea kings and queens, mermaids and mermen swam to the depths of Imagine Music Festival in Atlanta, Georgia this past weekend. It was my first time attending Imagine Music Festival I am excited to share my experience with you!
Imagine was a four day festival at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, which was giving me major EDC vibes. I attended Friday through Sunday for three full days of fun. They also hosted a Thursday night pre-party that I heard was LIT at the Disco Inferno stage.
We stayed at a hotel and took the shuttle each day which logistically worked well for my group. We had no issues getting to and from the venue and security was a breeze all three days. Camping is available for this festival if you’d like to look into the option for your crew. I flew from Texas so a hotel was ideal versus renting a car and buying camping gear.
The underwater theme was felt throughout the whole festival. From the grandeur of the Oceania stage with a crown fit for Ariel, live spray painters to pianos placed near Disco Inferno to where any can play and tons of areas to chill out with friends and still hear music nearby.
I will make a bold statement that Imagine had one of the best PLUR crowds I had experienced in a very long time. Everyone I met was the sweetest and just wanted to vibe. I misplaced my camera in between Zeds Dead and Above and Beyond, and a sweet glover turned my camera into Lost and Found. I really felt proud to be a part of a community that looks after one another.
I tweeted this out that EVERYONE was dressed to impress for this festival. Whether the squad rolled out in a theme or the girls (and guys!) were glittered or wearing gems to sparkle, everyone looked amazing in their outfits.
I definitely saw a ton of crystal tops, funky sunglasses, face masks, chain skirts, holographic fanny packs and incredible headpieces as the trends throughout the weekend. More importantly, everyone was staying hydrated with their Vibedration packs which we love to see! Gotta stay hydrated all day long and Vibedration’s festival packs complimented everyone’s outfits so well.
Everyone brought their A-game this weekend. With such a diverse lineup, I was running all over the place catching bass sets, house sets, and dubstep sets. I saw long-time favorites like Zeds Dead and Alison Wonderland who killed it at the Oceania stage to shuffling at the Disco Inferno stage. I loved Wax Motif and a Dirtybird Takeover and seeing household bass names like Tipper and GJones taking us on a journey at the Amazonia stage. All in all, my favorite set from the weekend was Seven Lions. It was the best set I had ever seen from him! He covered all kinds of genres, had incredible mashups and played my favorite songs Oceans, Don’t Leave and Strangers. I even got to tell Seven Lions in person when my group ran into him and his wife at Justin Martin's set. Nonetheless, it was great to headbang, shuffle and groove all weekend long with old friends and strangers turned into new friends.
Imagine Music Festival was a great warmup to the fall festivals to come. I will be at Dirtybird Campout, ACL Weekend 2, Freaky Deaky, and Seismic Dance Event this fall so come catch a vibe with me!
