Summer rave season is slowly drawing to a close. Festivals are fewer and far in between, and we’ve been impatiently waiting to send the Vibe Tribe to another music festival ever since the magic of Electric Forest. Our wait ended this weekend, as we made our way out to the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernadino, CA along with thousands of other ravers for the insanity that is HARD Summer.
The Vibe Tribe was out in full force spreading PLUR and promoting the best hydration pack for music festivals this weekend.
The Glen Helen Amphitheater is ENORMOUS. It can hold up to 65,000 people, and the HARD crowd showed out in full effect. HARD Summer has had logistical issues in the past that made getting around a nightmare, but there’s a consensus among attendees that this was one of the best years in HARD history, both in experience and music.
HARD Summer 2017: The Music
It’s hard to capture the energy of a headline set at HARD Summer. The Glen Helen Amphitheater really highlights how massive the crowd is. The EDM and rap/hip hop featured festival heavy hitters Bassnectar, DJ Snake, Migos, Snoop Dogg, and many many more.
After we got settled in, we made our way to see Tchami usher in the night, and he reminded us why people call him the king of house. Check out his set here:
After Tchami, Justice hopped on the HARDER stage, and DJ Snake, Mobb Deep, and Zeds Dead closed out the first night at the same time. Talk about tough decisions. We went to see DJ Snake because we wanted to dance our faces off. His set gave us goosebumps. The main stage was packed to the brim with PLUR and an intense musical energy. Say what you will about DJ Snake, but you can’t deny he knows how to move a crowd.
Sunday featured more rap artists, and the performances went off without a hitch. One of our awesome ambassadors got back stage with Party Favor and took some great pics. To everyone's surprise, he brought out Lil Jon and the crowd went nuts.
Later that night, we had to make a tough decision between Snoop Dogg’s and Bassnectar’s headliner sets. Being partial to EDM here at Vibedration, we had to go see the bae Bassnectar. His lung-collapsing bass and Pretty Lights-esque visual rig topped off an amazing weekend of music.
HARD Summer 2017: The Vibe
This years HARD Summer featured all the festival favorites: a ferris wheel, chill & food stations, and two dope water parks. The outfit vibe at hard summer was EDM inspired, with rave gear leaning towards more trippy than hippy. Some new trends we noticed were people rockin' out with colored hair and yarn braided into their hair. The rave booty was combined with chain bras and tie-dye outfits with cute little hydration packs like our PetitePacks.
We made tons of new friends at the campsite and had plenty of time to chill, but HARD Summer is really all about the music. The stage designs are awe-inspiring, and the amphitheater setup gives everyone a great view of the music.
The Raddest Hydration Pack for Music Festivals
We’d like to commend HARD for providing exceptionally easy access to water stations this past weekend. Temperatures were in the 90’s, and keeping dehydration at bay was a constant battle in the hot sun.
Apart from preventing major medical issues, staying extra hydrated helps you enjoy the festival more. Our goal is to help people DO MORE than just prevent dehydration. When you have water with you at all times, you can share it with those in need and enjoy the festival longer. You’ll also recover quicker, which is crucial during a multi-day festival.
Our hydration packs come in a wide variety of amazing designs. From EDC Trippy to Coachella Hippy, there’s one for everyone so you can stay hydrated and express yourself at the same time.
We’re already starting the countdown to HARD Summer 2018, will you be there? Until next time, Vibe Tribe out.
