In a sea of summer music festivals, the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada stands out from the rest.
Every year since 2011, hundreds of thousands of beautiful people descend on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for three nights of circus themed raving, dancing, and life-celebrating.
We sent the Vibe Tribe ambassadors out to EDC to promote PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity and Respect) and spread the word about the best hydration pack for music festivals!
We also want to give a shout out to our Vibedration ambassadors who won our Shuffle n’ Fly contest!! We had an unforgettable experience flying to EDC by helicopter and the shuffle lesson from the amazing Elena Cruz and T-Mack were top notch Follow them on IG @ecruz_n and @tmack8769
You really have to go to EDC to understand the magic, but if you couldn’t make it this year, our Vibe Tribe’s EDC 2017 recap is a close second.
The EDC 2017 Experience
It’s hard not to be overwhelmed with wonder and awe each night you walk through the entrance to the Electric Daisy Carnival.
The speedway transforms into a sensory overload of LED lights and artwork, the stage designs rival those of Tomorrowland, and circus performers run rampant through the rave grounds. Of course, EDC wouldn’t be a carnival without rides, and there were plenty available for everyone to unleash their inner child.
The EDC 2017 Music
Looking at the lineup of artists at EDC is dizzying. Over 200 EDM producers and other artists took the stage this past weekend. As a refreshing reminder that EDC is ego-free and all about the music, the official lineup poster features every artist’s name in alphabetical order and equal-sized font.
On Friday, we raged until the festival ended with back to back sets from legendary Dutch DJs Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, and Afrojack.
Check out van Buuren’s legendary set.
On Saturday, we had to make the tough decision between seeing Tiësto, Porter Robinson, and Alesso. We went with Porter Robinson, and he brought house down with his patented progressive style. Another highlight of Saturday night was Dillon Francis, who never ceases to have complete control over a crowd.
Check out Dillon Francis’s set:
Sunday marked the final day of the festival, and as much as we wanted to pretend the fun would never end, we knew we had to make the most of the last day.
Everyone is talking about DJ Khaled’s performance this past weekend. Here at Vibedration, we like to stay positive, so all we have to say about it is that he may or may not have played himself.
Lil Jon slayed at a surprise appearance with Flosstradamus, and Drake unexpectedly showed up to perform his song Fake Love. The night ended with a beautifully over-the-top fireworks display that already has us dreaming of EDC 2018.
Rave Trends 2017
If you’re looking for the state of the union of rave clothing and fashion this year, look no further than EDC. The Electric Daisy Carnival always has the wildest rave outfits, and the word of the weekend was definitely #ravebooty. Check out some of our favorite rave clothing from the weekend.
The Best Hydration Pack for Raves
It’s easy to get caught up in the magic and forget to take care of yourself at EDC. Las Vegas is notoriously hot, and dancing the night away for 3 days can severely dehydrate you.
At Vibedration, we want everyone to have convenient access to water and stay safe while they’re raving. Too many rave and festival injuries stem from dehydration, so please make sure you and your friends get enough to drink.
Our designer hydration packs let you dance all night while staying cool and expressing yourself. From EDC trippy to Coachella hippy, there’s really a style for everyone. Check out some of our hydration packs at EDC this weekend.
If you don’t already, follow us on social @vibedration, and come hang with us if you’re going to Electric Forest!
EDC was a dream come true, and we’ll definitely be back with the Vibe Tribe for EDC 2018. See you there?
